TAMPA - The AZ Pilots 14U took home the West Coast Finals 14U Championship today with a 13-0 victory over the AZ Athletics 14U.  AZ Pilots starting pitcher Hermilo Madera threw a complete game 1 hitter, while striking out 6, to earn the victory in the championship game.  That wasn't all, as Madera added a 3-3 day at the plate with a double and RBI to help his cause.  The big bat on the day for the Pilots was in the hands of Tristan Thomas, going 3-5 with a triple and 3 RBI's to pace the Pilots hitting attack.  Joseph Palanzo & Mitchell Sullivan drove in 2 runs a piece for the Pilots as nearly every player in the starting lineup managed to pick up an RBI in the victory.

The win gave the Pilots organization their 2nd championship, after claiming the 16U Championship in 2012.

Congrats to the AZ Pilots 14U team for a well played tournament, going unbeaten en route to the title.
