Victory Athletic Fall National Championship Tournament Info & Rules
TAMPA - 2013 VICTORY ATHLETIC FALL NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP TOURNAMENT RULES & PARK INFORMATION:
1.) 2 HOUR TIME LIMIT ON ALL GAMES (Except Championship Game in each Division - No Time Limit on Championship)
2.) POOL PLAY GAMES CAN END IN A TIE
3.) Run Rule is 10 runs after 5 innings of play
4.) All games are 7 inning games OR 2 hours - no new inning can start after 2 hour time limit is reached
5.) If game is tied after 7 innings and time limit has not been reached, 8th inning will start with last batted out at 2nd base
and no outs in the inning. Both teams will play this way until time is reached or there is a winner.
6.) Teams may hit NO MORE than 10 players at one time. This can include a DH & EH position. Teams are not required to hit 10 (you may hit 9 if you wish) but you cannot hit more than 10.
7.) If a player or coach is ejected FOR ANY REASON, that player or coach will miss the rest of that game + the next game.
8.) Courtesy Runner for the catcher or pitcher at any time to speed up the game.
9.) No Pitching Restrictions or inning limits
***HOME TEAM FOR ALL GAMES WILL BE DETERMINED BY A COIN FLIP. THIS CAN EITHER BE DONE BEFORE THE GAME BETWEEN BOTH COACHES, OR A PW STAFF MEMBER CAN FASCILITATE.
PLAYOFF FORMAT FOR BOTH DIVISIONS:
WINNER OF POOL A vs. WINNER OF POOL B (Semi Final #1)
WINNER OF POOL C vs. WINNER OF POOL D (Semi Final #2)
CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES TO FOLLOW THE SEMI-FINALS ON SUNDAY
PROSPECT WIRE TIE BREAKERS ARE ALWAYS AS FOLLOWS:
1.) Head to Head Record
2.) Runs Allowed
3.) Runs Scored
4.) Total Differential of runs allowed vs. runs scored during your 4 pool play games
***If there is a 3 way tie for 1st place in a Pool - Head to Head record is not used - it immediately goes to Runs Allowed and then Runs Scored.
At the Lawnwood Complex - there will be concessions served at two locations during the course of the day/night. These concessions are operated by the City of Fort Pierce and Prospect Wire has no control over when they open or close. There are several convenience stores nearby as well for parents wishing to bring in coolers with drinks. Personal coolers, food & drinks are permitted in the park if you wish.
At the NY Mets Complex - there is a full service concession stand on site. ABSOLUTELY NO OUTSIDE FOOD, DRINKS OR COOLERS WILL BE PERMITTED BY THE METS STAFF. Water will be provided in each dugout for the players with ice. Outside of that, NO FOOD, DRINKS OR PERSONAL COOLERS can be brought into the complex at Tradition Field.
TEAMS MUST CLEAN THEIR DUGOUTS AFTER EVERY GAME - FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RESULT IN A $50 CLEANING FEE BY THE COMPLEXES.
IN THE EVENT OF RAIN - Teams should always first check the website, and then check with their coaches. As soon as information is made available, it will be put on the website and then emailed to individual coaches.
