PW/WSL 16U & 14U Finals Playoff Updates

TAMPA - While seeds are still being determined in the PW/WSL 16U Finals, the teams who will be competiting for the championship are official.  As of now this is what is known:

 

14U Championship - Lawnwood Field 1 at 9:00 am

Team MVP vs. St Lucie Mets  - TEAM MVP WINS CHAMPIONSHIP 4-1 (Justin Connell named MVP)

 

16U Playoffs - Lawnwood Complex at 8:00 pm tonight (2 hour time limit)

Field 1:  #1 Orlando Scorpions vs. #8 Jacksonville Rockets - Rockets won

Field 2:  #2 St. Lucie Mets Select vs. #7 Broward Nationals - National won

Field 3:  #3 W. Boca Panthers vs. #6 Next Level Baseball - Next Level won

Field 4:  #4 Jacksonvile Warriors White vs. #5 West Florida Rage - Warriors won

 

 

SEMI-FINALS - Lawnwood Complex at 9:00 am (2 hour time limit)

Field 2:  #4 Jacksonville Warriors White vs. #8 Jacksonville Rockets - Warriors won

Field 3:  #6 Next Level Baseball vs. #7 Broward Nationals - Next Level won

About Brian Werner
After pitching 2 years at Clemson University and making an appearance in the College World Series, Brian finished his baseball career at the University of South Florida. Shortly after, Brian served as the Director of Baseball Operations and Scouting for the New York Yankees from 1999-2004. In his time there, Brian assisted with draft preparations, processed scouting reports, maintained the Yankees pro scouting database, and served as the main contact between scouts in the field and the VP of pro scouting. In 2008, Brian caught on with Prospect Wire. Brian has since served in multiple capacities for PW from scouting to organizing events.
