PW's 2012 Coverage Wraps Up Scouting the Next Wave of Prospects
By: Corey Goldfarb | corey@prospectwire.com

Lantana, FL - I can’t think of a better way to wrap up Prospect Wire’s coverage this year by scouting the next wave of great amateur prospects at the USSSA Palm Beach Holiday Bash in Lantana, Florida.

I’m anxious to see one of my favorite 12U teams in this tournament, the South Florida Stealth. I scouted the Stealth at the USSSA Super NIT at Disney’s Wide World of Sports over the Thanksgiving holiday. The Stealth, coached by Anthony Russo is maybe the most talented and athletic 12U team I’ve scouted.

Games are set to start tonight at the Lantana Sportsplex and Phipps Park. Games start on Saturday morning at 9am. Prospect Wire’s coverage will start on Saturday and continue through the championship games on Sunday. Please check our Twitter (@prospectwire) and Facebook pages as well at USSSA's Twitter for the latest action during the tournament. Reports on players will be released early next week on our site.

Here are the teams competing in this weekend’s tournament:

About Corey Goldfarb
Corey Goldfarb has an extensive background in all levels of baseball. Before Corey's hiring at Prospect Wire, he worked as an agent and advisor to over 25 current professional athletes. Of those 25 players, 5 of them were drafted in the first round of the MLB Draft and one of them was the #1 prospect in the country out of high school. Corey's ability to evaluate talent helped him identify the right players to target and recruit. Corey played a key role in building one of the best young sports agencies in baseball. Prior to his 10 years as an agent, Corey worked in different aspects of Minor League Player Development for the Marlins and Yankees.
