Infield/Outfield

Batting Practice

5pm-7:30pm - Elite 100 1st session

After check in, players will walk to the practice field behind Ed Smith Stadium and get stretched to run a 60 yard dash.

After the 60 yard dash, the players will head back to the stadium to get their arms loose for infield/outfield in the stadium.

Last, the players will take live BP in the stadium.

7:30pm-10pm - Elite 100 2nd session

Check in Time: 6pm-7pm - Check-in at the main entrance/concourse area at Ed Smith Stadium (issue jerseys to players and make sure PW profile info. is accurate)

After check in, players will walk to the practice field behind Ed Smith Stadium and get stretched to run a 60 yard dash.

Next, the players will take live BP in the stadium.

After live BP in the stadium, the players will get their arms loose for infield/outfield in the stadium.

The 2nd session will end approximately at 10pm.

What is a pro-style workout?

1. 60 yard dash  - measures a players top end speed, and lets college coaches/MLB scouts visually see a players exposiveness on his start

2. Infield/Outfield - gives college coaches/MLB scouts a chance to see a players defensive actions, release, lateral and vertical movement, arm strength, range and accuracy

3. Batting Practice - lets college coaches/MLB scouts see the mechanics of a players swing, raw power, ability to make consistent solid contact, ability to use all fields, ability to make adjustments

This is a great opportunity for players to show their tools off to the college coaches and professional scouts in attendance.

Our PW Scouting Staff will be writing reports on players from the Elite 100, as well as looking for 2015 PW Underclass All-American players to invite to the University of South Florida, July  28-30.
