All American Games Parents & Players Announements
By: Brian Werner |

TAMPA - Parents, Players, Coaches & Scouts:

It is important to note that in the event of inclement weather this weekend at the events, to please remember to check the website for any announcements, schedule changes or format changes to the event.  Please understand that there are 125 INDIVIDUAL players participating in this year's event.  Please do not call personal cell phones of PW Staff Memebers seeking information about the event.  The website will always have the most up to date information that our staff has.

Please be aware of all USF Signage for parking during weekdays as they will strictly enforce parking violations on campus.

There is a $8 parking charge at Cal State Fullerton University on FRIDAY ONLY.  This is a Cal State Fullerton policy and Prospect Wire has nothing to do with this fee.  Please use LOTS A & G to park.

There is a $10 general admission for everyone 18 years of age and older during the event.  This admission includes an Event Program.  This is a one time admission charge for the entire weekend.

All Players playing in their 1st game of the event should arrive 2 HOURS prior to the start of their first game time.  Players should wear WHITE baseball pants, BLACK socks & BLACK belt.  All players will be issued a Dry-Fit Shirt & Fitted Flex-Fit Hat.  Players will be expected to put this outfit on immediately and go directly to take their Head Shot Photograph.  All players should be wearing the PW All American Hat & Shirt in their photograph.

IMPORTANT:  Players need to wear the shirts issued to them and not trade with their teammates in the dugout.  The jersey #'s on these shirts are how colleges and scouts will identify the player.

It is important to note that USF & CSF will not be operating a concession stand during the events.  Parents are welcome to bring coolers if they want.  Prospect Wire will be selling bottles of water at the main gate of each event for $1.

Water will be provided in each dugout for the playes

Friday:  Games

Saturday:  Batting Practice & Games (position players should arrive 2.5 hours prior to the start of their game on Saturday to hit LIVE BP on the field.

Sunday:  INF/OF & Games (position players should arrive 1.5 hours prior to the start of their first game on Sunday to take INF/OF before their game.

USF, Tampa:  Players have access to the batting cages at USF.

CSF, Fullerton:  USA Baseball & Cal State Fullerton players will be using the basebll batting cages during this event and are off limit to Underclass Players.  Players will be allowed to use the Softball Batting Cages (right behind the baseball ones) if they wish to take swings before the games.

It's important to note that this event is a SHOWCASE.  Players will have 3 days to showcase themseleves.  Playing time is rotated as FAIRLY & EVENLY as possible for all participants.  Players can expect to play 3-4 innings of each game in the field.  They will also take INF/OF at their primary position on Sunday.  Players may be asked to fill in and play their secondary positions throughout the course of the weekend.  We are confident that between the game action, LIVE Batting Practice, INF/OF and DH opportunites, that the players will have plenty of opportunities to showcase themselves in this one field environment.

PRIMARY PITCHERS - Expect to go 2-4 innings depending on pitch count and availability.

SECONDARY PITCHERS - Expect to go 1-2 innings depending on the situation.

All games will be scorekept using iScore with LIVE gamecasts available on this website.  Once each game starts, gamecasts are accessible from the SCOREBOARD on the home page or by going to the individual event page and clicking on the schedule tab.

You can also follow us on Twitter (@Prospectwire) for updates, pictures and quick notes during the course of the event.  Players are enccouraged to Tweet pictures & personal updates during the event.  Use #PWAA or #PWBaseball in your tweets.
