2017 Rankings Provide Colleges An Early Look
By: Corey Goldfarb | corey@prospectwire.com

Tampa - Our scouting staff has done an amazing job of identifying and scouting some of the best 2017 grads in Florida. Early indications are the 2017 grad class in Florida is a very balanced class with prospects at every position and some electric arms.

It went back and forth with our staff on which player we felt was the best player in the state currently. At the end of the day, Jose Ciccarello, a MIF from Alonso High School in Tampa, Fl is the most complete player right now.

Ciccarello loves the game and plays as hard as any young player we've seen in a long time and thrives on pressure situations. He's the definition of a gamer.

Other players in the top 10:

Conor Grady, a RHP/3B from Tampa Catholic HS in Tampa, Fl. Grady has a lightning quick arm on the mound and projects as a true power arm.

Jonah Scolaro, an OF/1B/LHP from Durant HS in Tampa, Fl. Scolaro does it all at a high level. Jonah has a chance to be a special two-way player.

Tony Jenkins, an OF/INF from Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy in Melbourne, Fl. Jenkins is a diamond in the rough, and with some polish this diamond will sparkle. Tony may be the best athlete not only in the state of Florida but in the country for the 2017 grad class. Pro scouts are already interested in Jenkins.

Just with these players I've mentioned, you have a do it all player that's extremely advanced in Ciccarello, a power arm in Grady, a big time two-way prospect in Scolaro, and an elite athlete in Jenkins.

You can see why our staff is excited about the 2017 grad class in Florida.

Our updated 2016 rankings will be out in the next couple of days. For updates on players throughout the summer follow us on Twitter @prospectwire.
