Next Level Baseball/MBA Pride National Showcase Saturday Nov. 8
By: Corey Goldfarb |

Jacksonville, FL - Prospect Wire is starting a historic scouting coverage month in November by scouting Next Level/MBA Pride's National Showcase in Jacksonville.

Our staff will also be scouting/covering FTB in San Juan, Puerto Rico on November 10th. On November 15-16 we travel to southern California to scout/cover the ABD Bulldogs tryouts for the first time ever.

Our first stop will be this Saturday November 8th for a can't miss event. Next Level Baseball out of Tallahassee and MBA Pride are two of the fastest growing travel programs in the country.

Not only are they getting some of the best players in Florida, they are winning championships.

The NLB/MBA National Showcase is a chance for players to not only be seen by college coaches and professional scouts but to prove they can play with the best of the best.

Within the past year, the two programs combined to produce 41 D1, D2 and JUCO offers. That's incredible considering they draw most of their talent from the Panhandle and Tallahassee area.

Some of the standouts that we've had the privilege of scouting the past several years that are moving on to college next fall are SS Blake Reese (UF), LHP/OF Tyler Holton (FSU), RHP Matthew Sellers (USF) and LHP Jared Padgett (Mississippi State).

With all that talent the past couple of years, you'd think that the program would be down for the next year or two. Think, and then think again, and then think again some more. Not happening with this program.

2016 grad RHP/C Tyler Myrick and 2017 grad C Mervyl Melendez have verbally committed to Alabama State University. 2016 grad RHP Feleipe Franks is verbally committed to (LSU) to play baseball and football. 2016 LHP Grant Stewart is verbally committed to (FSU).

Recently, the 2017 and 2018 NLB/MBA Pride grad classes have been committing left and right to major D1 programs. 2017 grads RHP Altoon Coleman and 1B Chase Sanguinetti verbally committed to (Florida State), as well as 2018 grad MIF Alec Sanchez.

Some other players from the program that are top college prospects are 2016 grads OF Donnie Glenski, MIF/RHP Nick Lentz, OF Bucky McGlamory, 3B Richard Sorrenti and 3B Paul Cunningham. 2017 grads MIF Jose Ciccarello and Elijah Gil are getting major attention from college programs.

The bottom line is that NLB/MBA Pride puts their players in front of college coaches which translates into college scholarships for their players.

That process starts at events like their national showcase this weekend. If you haven't registered you can go to

Here's basic information on the showcase.

Time: 9:00am-5:00pm (Check-In 8:30am-9:00am)

Location: University Christian School, 5520 University Blvd W, Jacksonville, FL 32216

Our staff will be there scouting, writing reports and Tweeting.

Be there, be seen, be recruited.
