PLAYER COMBINE WILL BE SATURDAY AT GENE AUTRY COMPLEX (All Day) - Information on the combine format and schedule will be posted separately (on or before June 13th).  The combine will run on June 15th - all teams are welcome to workout.  It is not mandatory & there is no additional fee for players to go through the combine process.

*NOTE:  GENE AUTRY COMPLEX WILL NOT BE OPENED TO PLAYERS, COACHES & PARENTS UNTIL 7:30 AM DAILY.  ONLY STAFF WILL BE ALLOWED IN PRIOR TO 7:30 AM

CONSOLATION GAMES:  Teams who do not advance out of pool play will have a Consolation Game as their 4th game guarantee.  Consolation games are MANDATORY.  Any team who fails to show up for their consolation game will be charged a $400 additional fee on their next PW event.  Teams travel to our event from all over, and it is not fair that those who show up to finish out their tournament, have a team that does not do the same.  All consolation games will be played on Tuesday.  It will be PW's effort to schedule out of town teams who have the furthest drive, with the earliest games, so they can get out on the road.  Teams who are more local will be asked to play later in the day.

TOURNAMENT GENERAL RULES

1.)  2 hour time limits on all games including Playoff Games (Championship Game has no time limit)

2.)  Home team determined by coin flip during pool play; during playoffs higher seed is home; Championship Game is a coin flip

3.)  7 inning games.  Games can go extra innings in pool play, provided there is still time left on the time limit.  Pool play games can end in a tie.  Playoffs play until completion, with tie-breakers in place.

4.)  If game tied at the end of 7 innings (with time left on time limit) then 8th inning starts with last batted out at 2nd, 0 outs.  Both teams will get this opportunity and will continue in this manner until there is a winner, or time limit is reached.

5.)  During playoff games, all games tied after 7 innings, will start with the tie-breaker in the top of the 8th.  If time limit is reached and game is tied before 7 innings is played, then tie breaker will start with next full inning if game remains tied.

6.)  Run Rule is 10 runs after 5 innings (no run rule in championship games)

7.)  Teams may hit up to 10 players - teams can utilize a DH & EH.  DH must remain "married" to the position he is hitting for.  If DH enters the game, the DH is removed from the lineup.  EH can be interchanged with any player as they go in & out of the game.

8.)  Prospect Wire does not set pitching restrictions.  It is up to the coaches to know their players and help care for their arms.  Prospect Wire will have training staff on sites for ice & treatment if needed.

9.)  In the event a player or coach is ejected - Umpire in Chief will meet with Tournament Director to discuss the specific situation.  If it is believed that the ejection was just a heat of the moment occurance, and did not get out of hand, then the coach or player will only miss the game they are ejected from.  ***If the umpires & Tournament Director deem that the ejection was warranted and things went beyond what they should for HS travel baseball games, then the player or coach will be out that game + the next.  NOTE:  IF ANY PLAYER, PARENT OR COACH GOES AFTER AN UMPIRE OFF THE FIELD, ASSAULTS ANOTHER PLAYER, IN UNRULEY TO THE POINT THE GAME MUST BE HALTED...THEN YOU WILL BE REMOVED FROM THE EVENT ENTIRELY.  Prospect Wire aims to run a fun and competitive event for the players.  We realize things will happen, however, we expect coaches to control their parents & players, as well as themselves.  If you have an issue with something, you can take it up with the Tournament Director in private.  Keep the action on the field about the kids and let them play.

TIE BREAKER RULES

1.)  Head to Head

2.)  Runs Allowed

3.)  Runs Scored

4.)  Total Run Differential of 3 pool play games
