PW Underclass All-American Games and Pro Classic Evaluations Start This Weekend
By: Corey Goldfarb | corey@prospectwire.com

Bradenton - The path to our Prospect Wire Underclass All-American Games and Pro Classic starts this weekend at the All-State Showcase in Bradenton, Fl at the IMG Academy.

This weekend will be our scouting staff's first look at a lot of the players attending. The combination of a workout on Saturday and games on Sunday will give our staff a good look at the players. After this weekend we will start inviting players to our PW Underclass All-American Games and Pro Classic.

Being named a PW Underclass All-American or a Pro Classic player is not easy. Our scouting staff works hard all summer "bearing" down on players trying to find the best players to invite. The PW Underclass All-American Games are not just Florida players either. We'll invite players from as far away as New York, Wisconsin, Texas, Maryland, North Carolina and all states in between.

Our PW Underclass All-American Games helps players get their first real taste of the college recruiting process. Every year the event helps players earn college scholarships. It's pretty awesome when a college coach is waiting outside the dugout to shake your hand and introduce himself to you for the first time after the event is over. The event has produced a number of MLB draft picks as well, including Oscar Mercado (Fl), Akeem Bostic (SC), Tuck Newhaus (Fl) and Thad Lowry (TX).

The Pro Classic is strictly a Florida player event. We'll be selecting what we feel are the top 32 2015 grad pro prospects in the state of Florida to compete for two days in August. It will truly be an elite event.

To get invited to the PW Underclass All-American Games or the Pro Classic it takes hard work, consistency, and most importantly a true love for the game.

About Corey Goldfarb
Corey Goldfarb has an extensive background in all levels of baseball. Before Corey's hiring at Prospect Wire, he worked as an agent and advisor to over 25 current professional athletes. Corey's ability to evaluate talent helped him identify the right players to target and recruit. Corey played a key role in building one of the best young sports agencies in baseball. Prior to his 10 years as an agent, Corey worked in different aspects of Minor League Player Development for the Marlins and Yankees.
