FSF 18U Announcements
By: Matt Bomeisl | matt@prospectwire.com

LAKE WORTH, FL - The Florida State Finals (FSF) 18U kicks off on Wednesday August 4th, 2010 at the Santaluces Complex in West Palm Beach.  Below are a few announcements and reminders:

1.  Tournament Schedules have been posted on the tournament page (Schedule tab).

2.  There is a small bug with the Pool display where it is showing pools from the FSF 16U.  That will be fixed shortly to show the 18U Pools.  Please take our apologies for any confusion.

3.  Every team will go through a quick combine before their first game ONLY.  This will involve a 60 yard dash and defensive workout for all participating players.  No batting practice.  Teams are to arrive AT LEAST 1 and a half hours before their first game to make sure they get their headshot photos, stretch, and get ready to go through their workout before game one.  Players can wear their uniforms to go through the combine and nothing is expected from the coaches.

4.  Gate Admission:  Tournament Pass $28....Daily Pass $10....College Coaches and Scouts can get a tournament pass for $15 if they show their business card and photo ID and this cost will include the rosters.

5.  Tournament Format:  4 Teams in a Pool.  12 Pools overall.  12 Pool winners will advance along with 4 wild cards to a single elimination playoff round of 16 total teams.  It will take a total of 7 games to win it all.

6.  PW will pay for state championship rings for the winning team.  PW will provide rings for up to 25 players on the roster and 1 coach.  All players MUST be listed on roster before the event AND present during championship game in the dugout to receive a ring.  PW will not pay for rings for assistant coaches, or players not in attendance during the championship game.  The winning team is welcome to work with PW to purchase rings for any additional members of their program.
